TechFlow Bolsters Leadership Team with New COO, 3 New Board Members
San Diego, CA – October 5, 2016—TechFlow, a leading provider of IT services for U.S. government and commercial organizations, recently named Mark Carter as its new chief operating officer. The company also added three new members to its independent board of directors.
Carter joins TechFlow after a 20-year tenure with Leidos (formerly SAIC), including ten years on the Leidos executive team. Carter was Leidos’ vice president and deputy operations manager before joining TechFlow.
“Mark led one of the fastest-growing divisions at Leidos—growing it to over $200 million in less than five years,” said Robert Baum, TechFlow President and CEO. “We’re thrilled that he’s decided to join us as our new COO.”
Former IBM executive Anne Altman, Silicon Valley businessman Humphrey Polanen and technology executive Hus Tigil will join TechFlow’s independent board of directors.
"We are lucky and privileged to have such great people to work with,” Baum added. “Mark, Anne, Humphrey and Hus are impressive people and an incredible add to TechFlow’s DNA.”
Altman led IBM’s general manager for the U.S. Federal Government and Industries division. She retired earlier this year after 26 years with Big Blue.
Polanen is well known in Silicon Valley as a leader, investor, advisor, and venture capitalist. He is currently the executive chairman of Tekpea, Inc. He has also served on the board for numerous companies, including two public companies and a variety of venture-backed private firms.
Tigli joins TechFlow’s board of directors after serving on the company’s advisory board for over a decade. He has over 25 years experience leading and advising technology businesses. He now serves as a director, board advisor, mentor, and executive consultant for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial companies.
