The General Services Administration (GSA) of the Federal Government had significant productivity problems with their procurement process. It was extremely labor intensive and largely paper based, causing excessively high overhead and cost. They needed to respond to increasingly shorter delivery times and at the same time maintain customer satisfaction.

To address this growing need for automation and information access TechFlow provided an in-depth business process analysis and developed a user-friendly, scalable portal-based procurement system known as the IT Solutions Shop (ITSS). This application not only automates the buying process but also provides online status updates, order tracking and custom reporting, adding to the business intelligence and analysis capabilities of the organization. TechFlow also operates and maintains their customer support call center, successfully fielding over 3,000 client calls per month.

The length of time to procure the average order has been reduced from 30 days to less than one week and has grown from initially handling $400 million worth of transactions after deployment to its current load of over $6 billion worldwide.
