Hus Tigli
Member, Board of Advisors

Hus is an avid entrepreneur and an executive seasoned in a multitude of technology businesses, from early-stage start-ups to large global enterprises engaged in high-tech products and services.

When he moved to San Diego in 2000, Hus ran his first venture-backed start-up, OMM, an early leader in MEMS-based all-optical switches for communications networks, and took the company from development stage to an IPO-ready commercial enterprise with top-tier customers and strategic investors. Not disheartened by the telecom crash, Hus co-founded another start-up, Forza Silicon, a fast-growing venture which offers imaging chips and integrated-circuit design services. Hus subsequently founded Silicon Kinetics, which is developing biotech optical instruments and biochip microarrays as a spin-out from Trex Enterprises Corporation, an advanced R&D house. Hus also leads CrossFiber as President & CEO, developing communications equipment for next-generation communications networks.

Earlier in his career, Hus led and grew global businesses with revenues ranging from $5 million to $900 million in the Bay Area and Europe for Raychem Corporation, a pioneering manufacturer of components for electronics and telecom industries. Hus was the first executive at Raychem to launch the company into professional services as a complement to products.

Hus holds his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in chemical engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard. He gives back to the community by mentoring San Diego businesses as a member of Chairmen's Round Table, a non-profit organization, and as an Advisory Director at the San Diego Opera.
