GSA FTS Awards TechFlow $5.5M Recompete

July 20, 2004

TechFlow is proud to announce the recent recompete award (potential value $5.5 million) for the General Services Administration Federal Technology Service (GSA FTS) IT-Solutions Shop (ITSS) contract. This was a must win for TechFlow due to the strategic significance of this opportunity and long-standing incumbency for TechFlow on consecutive contracts. This award was for the first recompetition to provide IT services, solutions and eProcurement expertise for a contract initially won by TechFlow in 1998.

"We are pleased that FTS selected TechFlow to continue to serve as the GSA's trusted partner," said Robert Baum, CEO & President of TechFlow. "This reflects GSA's continued confidence in TechFlow and our ability to provide expert information technology solutions for the Federal Government."

ITSS is a centralized, flexible and highly integrated web-based application which provides an automated workflow process for accomplishing government procurement. GSA's geographically dispersed clients use ITSS to order IT products and services from their desktops from around the world. ITSS facilitates the workflow surrounding these orders by posting information in realtime on the Internet in a secure format as it is processed. ITSS also notifies individuals as events occur that requires attention for immediate action. Since its introduction, ITSS reduced order cycles times from more than a month to less than a week, and in many instances, just a few days. Leveraging ITSS, GSA representatives help other Federal agencies negotiate and award competitive contracts to industry partners saving precious tax dollars. ITSS is a completely paperless and automated Internet ordering system available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Currently, there are over 40,000 worldwide users registered in ITSS and over $7 billion in yearly transactions.
